You saved one life twice. But is there any significance to this being ‘her’ rather than ‘they’? Did you have a specific person in mind?

It would have bothered me to the same degree, I don’t know about you. I haven’t seen anyone on Lemmy using ‘he’ as a ‘gender neutral’ pronoun yet, but I assure you I would correct it just as I regularly do in real life.

In some languages (i.e., italian and spanish), “person” is a feminine word (the word itself has ha gender, grammatically). Maybe OP isn’t a native english speaker and they’re just translating literally their thought.
