Definitely less used, yeah. My personal wild ass-guess is that it’s less preferred due to potential confusion with actual paper notebooks.

I had one such, HP something, with Atom and 1024x600 display. Ran Linux with
dwm,conkeror,mpdand even some games in Wine. I really liked that, actually. Except for the 1024x600 part, at least 1366x768 would be better.
