Pretty much my thought.
Consumerism is, therefore content churning is.
Some other intersecting ingredients might be human sexual drive, wiring for novelty, legacy of puritanical mores,

I’d argue the drive has been hijacked and amplified for my reasons above. Gym bros, meat eating and “low T” are all in service to male sex drive. It’s far more sinister than it appears and not the least bit surprising.

No argument that the drive is amplified. And, sex is amplified at the expense of intimacy, including nonsexual intimacy
