  It was for a Hanukkah celebration, there were a lot of Jewish people, and Israel has been working hard to equate Jewish with Israeli zionism

      @fizzle@quokk.au’s sarcastic comment was in poor taste and probably went over the heads of a few people. I understand the sentiment behind the comment and I think l It was probably posted out of horror, frustration, anger at the news.

      I think @T00l_shed@lemmy.world may have been trying to help connect the dots for anyone trying to understand what fizzle was going on about.

        Not so much horror, frustration, and anger, as merely trying to understand the motivations of the perps. I genuinely want to understand more about that.

        Well the comment you replied to spoke about Aussies enjoying holidays on beaches. Your reply didn’t address that at all. Therefore the natural inference is that you are against Aussies enjoying holidays on the beaches. I thought it was a very fair question.
