Comment on When a parent's primary/preferred language differs from their child(ren)'s primary/preferred language, who should have the most "obligation" to learn more of the other's primary language?

Personally I think the winning language is the language that’s most spoken in the country you both live in. I have been the family translator since I was 6 and I’m exhausted. My parents speak English but they don’t always get things and they’re insecure about it so they’ve always relied on me to translate. Throughout my life we’ve always had weird arguments because we don’t understand each other.
