It’s a meaningless meme - if you remember the early days of “yeet” it’s lot like that. People started sticking the number around as an in-joke, but it’s gone super mainstream and now it’s just a goofy thing to do.

I just spent 21 months in prison.
Somebody fill me in on the 67 thing please?

Yeet has meaning though as to yeet is to throw
Warl0k3@lemmy.world 1 month ago
It does now, yes. Early days of yeet did not have a definition - “that’s one Yeety Boi” as an example - it was just a word you’d substitute in place of any other word for meme reasons.

My kid is in kintergarten and came home with a bunch of shit about counting to 67 and writing 67 on a makeshift turkey hat (it was right before Thanksgiving). I asked my wife and she can’t explain it. I don’t know.

It’s new funny number. Why it’s funny? No one knows or it’s funny because the kids decided that it is.
MrScottyTay@sh.itjust.works 1 month ago
The fact it has no meaning is why they find it funny. That’s basically it. Makes us oldies think we’re missing some context, but there is no context.

There is context, but the kids parroting it don’t know our understand it.
Basically it’s part of a line from a philly rap song that someone misinterpreted, said it in a funny way, went viral, and now everyone is copying the viral vid/kid.
