I mean… The 3D idea was pretty cool, and it worked surprisingly well, but I realistically never used it other that for fun occasionally.
I’ve just hacked and started reusing my old 3DS and it’s great fun! Can download most games abs cool hacks/mods to modify them.
Is this able to hook up with the same software as 3DS so I could do the same on it?
- Comment on one bright second 6 days ago:
Because things haven’t progressed linearly with the universes evolution, and, as the op stipulates, we are part of one second vs countless billions of years (relatively) till it’s theoretical demise, it is possible/probable that we don’t know what will happen down the line.
Certain things might change to make it possible that we simply can’t predict due to lack of information (the future) and technological difficulties.
- Comment on Anyone remember Heroes of Might & Magic 3? A remake is coming 1 week ago:
Yeah, I mean they bought the ip, but they haven’t actually developed any homm games, just produced it via other development companies.
Unless I’m misunderstanding something
- Comment on Anyone remember Heroes of Might & Magic 3? A remake is coming 1 week ago:
Pretty sure they did that with all Homm games? Their first, HommV was done by nival interactive.
- Comment on Anyone remember Heroes of Might & Magic 3? A remake is coming 1 week ago:
Can confirm. SoC is great. For a slightly different spin (auto battler) there’s also Hero hour
We’re in a rare run of good form where there are currently multiple gear Homm2/3 clones/spiritual successors that are all great in their own way.
To top it off, og Homm3 still gets decent “updates” in the form of high quality mods that are still being worked on.

I mean, that title sounds like it’s in the same ball park as WAP. As long as they’re not getting exploited, more power to em.
- Comment on Keir Starmer in crisis as Labour drops to 16% in devastating new poll 4 weeks ago:
I haven’t followed UK politics much lately, but sounds similar to Labour in NZ. Take over from conservatives trying to sell off the country and fuck over the poor, win a mandate super majority election, do nothing or worse, back track on your progressive campaign promises… Get railed in the next election.
And the government that took over is the worst we’ve had in decades.

Probably depends on the type of company you work in. If it’s a long established one with lots of staff, they’ve probably realised this issue a long time ago she put plans on for it.
If it’s a more modern one that hired a bunch of solid old heads up early on, they probably no better from the outset.
On both cases, someone, somewhere will have probably experienced it and said “never again”, so implemented (or improved) release procedures to ensure it doesn’t happen again
A lot of my teams have been on the younger side and for small companies/startups. So everyone either had a recent example to pull from or had first have experience

I think most people have done, or been part of a team that did, something similar.
At least most of the engineers I’ve worked with have had similar stories from their past
- Comment on 5 Signs the AI Bubble is About to Burst 5 weeks ago:
I used to watch her when, as far as I knew, all she talked about was science (mainly physics) news. You know, talking about the thing she actually studied in.
Then one day she did a “capitalism is actually great” video, and spouted a bunch of erroneous neo-lib bullshit. Thankfully most of the comments tore into her, pointing out the logical falacies and out right lies she was parroting.
I only watched a few more vids after that as she seemed to get more and more out of her area of knowledge and saying dumb shit.
I had no idea about the anti trans stuff though. I’d just stopped watching and put it down to the Nth person to be smart in one area and try and apply that to other areas where they have no expertise but think they know more about it than anyone else.
So yeah, fuck her

It’s almost too perfect. He was trying to turn a genuine question on gun violence into racist rhetoric, and then got immediately snapped…
Was probably feeling pretty smug with how he spun that until his neck popped.

I feel like it had to be. It’s too subtly funny for the rock, while also taking a stand on something, which, and I don’t follow him closely, so I could be wrong, I don’t think he tends to do.
I would have thought he wasn’t the queens biggest fan though, given his people and the brits history

That pretty much summed up the entire brexit mindset. “We already have one of the sweetest EU deals, but we want only good stuff and no bad”

They want to bomb the middle east, but harder.
It’s not even that they’re “the same”, it’s that they have similar approaches, but one is much worse.
Everyone lolmemes about republicans dropping bombs and Democrats dropping bombs with rainbow flags like it’s some deep insight, but all this does is massively benefit the right.
It sews disengagement from the left and people “protest vote”, then the people that do the thing they’re protesting against worse than get into power.
Unfortunately in a two party system, such as the US, it’s better to vote for the less bad one than neither, even if the one you vote for doesn’t do everything you’d like them to

That’s actually a pretty solid tattoo. I mean the craftsmanship is bad, but given it’s a drunk, on your back, tattoo… I was expecting much worse content
- Comment on WATER! 1 month ago:
Everyone has different experiences, but it’s very hit and miss for me. Sometimes it gives some very useful boiler plate, saving me quite a bit of time, sometimes it hallucinates some insane stuff that isn’t related to what I asked or makes functions that don’t return, or call each other.
Like defining a function “getTheThing” then later calling “getSomethingElse” that doesn’t exist. It’s a simple enough error to fix, but sometimes it’s so close to “correct” that debugging it takes quite a lot to find, because it looks right.

I think the problem a lot of people here are having is that they’re assuming the accusation is active sexism. Like it’s a cognitive decision to go “phht, what would she know, she’s a woman”.
I suspect the vast majority of mansplaning scenarios are subconscious. They probably don’t even know that’s what they’re doing abs would never see themselves as being sexist. I think that’s because everyone sees the word “sexist” and associates it with clichéd extreme sexism, like cat calling, not wanting a Female pilot, ignoring their ideas in meetings etc.
The thing about subtle unconscious bias is that you’re almost never aware you’re doing it, but it still has similar effects on the affected group.
The healthy thing to do is to listen to the person it’s affecting, analyse the scenario, and reflect on if it’s something that you, or people you know, might have been doing without realising.

While his take here is shitty, I think doing drugs and having sex with women for money is not something that warrants out right condemnation imo.
His involvement in murder and assault, and the sexual assault and battery accusations are much more damming and legit reasons to shit on him though.

I don’t know how universal it is, but movie tickets here have at least tripled since I was a kid, 20 odd years ago.
Meanwhile, me and 4 friends pooled our pocket money together to buy a video game that we could barely afford. Brand new video games are the same price now.
I’m not saying “they should increase their price”, but it is wild how somehow they haven’t in decades
