True, but you can expand the ram, your board has enough slots. You’re stuck with whatever video card you can afford until the next upgrade.

Number of slots is misleading with DDRM5. When you need more RAM, you’re supposed to replace the entire kit instead of trying to expand. It’s also now recommended you only use 2 slots even if it has 4. When I found that out, I couldn’t believe how fucking stupid it is. Even RAM is enshittified in 2025.

I wanted to punch someone when I first read this. What the hell is the point if you can’t use all the slots. You also have to stagger them, there’s no using the first 2. Fuckin bullshit

I think technically you CAN you all the slots, but ideally you shouldn’t. You’ll basically encounter slower speeds and/or stability issues if you try to push it too much. But yeah many people deserve punches for the boneheaded decisions made in regards to DDR5.
