I haven’t used steam in a few years though, and haven’t interacted with the marketplace in longer than that, so wouldn’t really know!

You are burying your head in the sand. Valve profits off 3rd party gambling. These sites pump skin prices and demand. Valve does legally the absolute are minimum to skirt gambling regulations and avoid being sued.

Good, so you aknowledge that Valve in no way allows gambling on the platforms they control.
If you want to be productive, you can go whine about the companies that actually cause problems.
