tal@lemmy.today 5 weeks agoI mean, yeah, but that’s wartime policy. Like, most countries are willing to take more risks and accept more costs if they consider is necessary to fight a war.
But as far as I know, doing this demo successfully isn’t something that Russia needs for any kind of war purposes.

It is very much needed for their war propaganda. They need to show the citizens and the world, that despite all the sanctions they are still able to achieve and match technological advancements of the west. But obviously they failed miserably in that.
