A massively decentralised renewable power grid may have become a form of war preparedness. I guess that’s my silver lining.
Reading between the lines, it seems Russia is going tit for tat* with attacks on power infrastructure. The hard thing is how to keep hitting them where it hurts without letting them respond in kind.

It's not a hard part. Russia have started attacking electricity in Ukraine back in 22/23, Ukraine have started doing that only this year. If russia hits electricity in Ukraine, it's not retaliation.
