It’s funny, around 2015 I quit Facebook when I noticed that every time I topped that little f icon, I’d end up angry a few minutes later.
Then I noticed it with my dad. I brought it up with friends and they noticed it too.
It feels like what makes us angry is for sale, and we’re being delivered it nonstop to drive engagement, divide us, further political agendas.
It feels like some weird scifi

Idk if it’s related but rage bait is a thing outside of geopolitical interests. YouTube, every news outlet, TV shows, et al.
Negativity sells, and there’s a reason for it.

More than just the negativity aspect, everyone wants to seem like a smartypants these days and correct everyone. They fall hook line and sinker for obvious rage bait, when it’s like “why do you even care about that shitty video bro?”
