You are describing a waterpik, my friend.

Image Oh shit, it’s real! goflaus.com It’s like $100 for a kit of the handle and 45 floss heads, and when you need more floss heads, it’s like $20 for 90 floss heads. Swedneck, I am too invested for you not to say that you’ll check out some kind of electric flosser or at least a water pick!

I almost want to buy one just to reward them for going there.

Teflon itself seems to be safe, right?

It’s safe to cook on if you don’t heat it past 500°F.
Maybe I’m being overly paranoid by not wanting to ingest small amounts twice daily, but I’m going to err on the side of an abundance of caution there.

that one actually looks good, though i have very little desire to buy something i can’t buy new heads for at the grocery store.
Waterpik has the upside that it just uses water, but is instead hilariously bulky and i’ve heard those actually aren’t very effective (and i’m not willing to spend $60 only to find out that it indeed isn’t very useful). This being an actual flosser seems much better and i look forward to it becoming as standard as electric toothbrushes so i can get one without having to trust a random company online (which ain’t happening).
If i see an electric flosser at a physical store or at least a domestic online store for a reasonable price, i will absolutely get one.
