This can’t be efficient.
It’s not.
They’re not sharing … they’re cannibalizing each other due to scarce resources.
Just they’re lucky that if their shallow pool floods and they make it to a larger cenote they can hopefully survive.
Oh I had just woken up and thought they were eating their own limbs.
