InputZero@lemmy.world 6 months agoI remember quite a few adults telling me that children should be seen, not heard when I was little. It was popular and sucked.
My ex step mom (may she rest in piss) favorite saying. She said that shit all the time.
Few others I don’t hate people, I hate their actions. (She had a lot of hate)
Actions Speak Louder then Words (only good saying I took from her)
She would say these things at least once a day. But always hated the seen but not heard one. Because I was an active kid and couldn’t be ignored.
You have my sympathies.
Id offer you a hug but im too irony poisoned to figure out hiw to write the offer in such a way that it doesnt come off as mocking.
No need she died last month and apparently was just as hateful at the end as she was in lif. So no big loss.

So there was this…what do you call it, lady who was very annoyed at any noise ever. Once she pulled a kitchen knife at us. Well well would you know that all parents and grandmas pulled legal action against that.
