So you have no empathy for them now, when their lives are falling apart and the country is getting worse and worse every single month that goes by in terms of cost of living and housing among other things, but you do have empathy for them when they hit rock bottom……so much empathy, but you don’t want to try and fix the cost of living crisis.

  If you had empathy for “those who would suffer the most”, that means you should have empathy for them now because they’re already homeless/living in poverty/unable to afford to live - but you don’t care because you don’t want the literal only thing that can fix the cost of living crisis to happen…because you have “empathy” for them?
