Coelacanth@feddit.nu 1 day agoOoh, I have Tails of Iron wishlisted! Is it more fun than annoying or equal measure of both? I was on a 2D Soulslike kick earlier this summer and wishlisted a bunch that look decent and that one one of them.

Depends. Are you skilled in this genre? Can't say that i am, so my experience has limitations.

I would say I’m medium skilled in the genre. I’ve beaten the Dark Souls games and Elden Ring and also played some 2D Soulslikes, most recently Mandragora and Blasphemous. I like the Soulslike aspect more than the platforming, which I hate. So I stayed away form Hollow Knight for example.

So far, the platforming has been on the lesser side, however the maps seem somewhat large. There's a chance it could pick up later on.
I do think that the soulslike is the primary gameplay component though.
