I thought the singing to plants thing was all about the directly breathing carbon dioxide onto them.

I remember Mythbusters trying this, and while other factors probably influenced more, they seem to have responded to death metal the best.

I’ve wondered if it was because the air vibrations that sound is help knock dust loose from the plant, which helps gasses get in and out as well as more light.
Heavy metal probably has the most vibration going on out of all genres.

I don’t think the infrequent vibrations would contribute much to stem hardening. Granted, I’m not convinced the directly talking to plants thing contributes significantly to carbon monoxide harvesting. Just set up two USB powered fans that turn on and off every now and then. The gas you release as you sing My Humps from the kitchen will reach them.

I mean just imagine you’re a seedling
You hear Mozart, it’s like, ok time to stay in bed
But then you hear:
“RISE UP AND BECOME A MIGHTY OAK SEED THE SEEDS OF FREEDOM PROUD YOU ARE OF THIS TREE THE SEEDLING SAP INSIDE YOU YAAAAAAAAAAA 🎸🎸”
I don’t know about you, but I know which one I’d grow faster to.
