Comment on Every female Democrat presidential nominee has resulted in a Donald Trump presidency
GreenKnight23@lemmy.world 1 day agoIf she was such a strong candidate and was the people’s choice then why was there a need to rig the election in her favor for Democratic voters?

Not only that, but at the time the Trump campaign had been attacking Clinton on multiple fronts. Gaza, those damned emails, her stance on international politics, her husband’s infidelity.
Clinton was a shit candidate against Trump. Anyone at the time could have told you that, yet she and DNC leadership persisted. The DNC holds some responsibility, but their strategy and goals were set by the Clinton campaign.
I don’t give a shit if she’s a woman or a man, she was a terrible candidate to force on the people in that campaign. Had Bernie won, perhaps she could have ran in 2020 or 2024. We didn’t get that chance though because her and the DNC took the right to choose away from the people when they rigged the Democratic nomination in 2016.

yes, ignore the evidence in front of you and attack me personally because you can’t argue against facts that the Clinton campaign colluded with the DNC to circumvent the will of the people to serve their own desires and goals.
I’ll agree, public opinion was manipulated by the Russians through wikileaks by leaking the evidence. that point though only proves they were unwilling to run a clean campaign to win.
had they not had loose morals and damaged ethics there’s a good chance she would have won 2016. unfortunately, her and the DNC worked together to circumvent democracy.
poetic isn’t it? that our democracy was damaged irrecoverably by a group that was supposed to protect it because they threw away their integrity just to circumvent the thing they claimed to honor out of a desire for power and accolades.
