Most are older games with sequels or newer games by the developer. So they are probably hoping you like them and buy the sequel.

That’s nice, but I’m not going to do so, because I’d rather support the developers of pornographic games financially.
It also sounds like at least some of the stores are aiming to make the games available later with different payment processors, so I expect that they’re likely to come back.

They’re technically not anymore. They used to be good old games but when they shifted to include a large percentage of modern games they officially became just gog.

I don’t know the logistics behind some of these giveaways, but it doesn’t have to mean that the devs are giving up their revenue. It could be gog just fronting the “cost”, no?

Presumably the devs have to agree to it. I dont think gog cn just decide "were going to give away this game we dont own for free"
