Comment on YSK that apart from not having a car, the single greatest thing you can do for the climate is simply eating less red meat

Why beef + eyes? It’s a very specific concern so was curious what is the danger
The concern is that you’re handling contaminated meat and then infect your self by rubbing your eyes.
That’s not exclusive to redmeat though. All meat has that same basic concern, as does fruit, veggies, dairy and even herbs and spices.
Doesn’t explain the specificity of it but okay if that’s all this is it’s even weirder to me
