Kinda like how Trump has a fundamentally nonsensical economic policy, because he doesn’t understand the underlying dynamics, he just knows the surface level rhetoric for a slew of policy positions, which when taken altogether at the same time, are mutually contradictory and inconsistent.
That’ll be the level of logic you’re plugging directly into the even more arcane and technically complex fields of large scale finance and accounting.
It would blow things up even faster, and from a more fundamental level.
We are already on the way to the dollar collapsing and the us defaulting on its debt.
Putting a bunch of overconfident, gaslighting autocorrect algos inside the fundamental workings of the finanical system would accelerate that process.

Humans are already doing and causing all this.
Nobody thinks LLMs are intelligent or conscious or able to reason, other than stupid people.
It’s a software tool. The anti-ai cult is way overthinking it. It’s insanely valuable and impressive to me as an engineer at small tasks. Fails at large tasks, but generally gets close at 80-90% which is undeniably impressive for what it is, an unintelligent machine learning LLM software tool. It’ll either improve, or something else better will come along to replace it.
Sure, as a software tool to assist in the same way I might use any other software tool to make life easier. You should probably check and verify the results to verify correctness.
At the end of the day, I don’t really care. I sympathize much more with the accelerationist attitude, then protection of the status quo. If your argument is using LLMs will bring about a downfall of the system in any way, well then I can only get so erect. Hook it to my veins please.
Even by your argument, we have imbeciles like trump elected as the president of the United States, the worlds most powerful economic and military empire. Religious wars are still a thing in 2025. Putins oligarchy dictatorship is killing Ukrainian civilians, kidnapping children, and torturing POWs. This place is a fucking clown show. Let it burn.
I’m not arguing AI is intelligent or a save all for anything. I only comment on the anti-ai cult stuff as it seems more like crowd mentality nonsense. Let them use LLMs to analyze financial markets or whatever. It ain’t like skynet where they just turn it on and walk away, lol. I truly and honestly don’t think it could get any worse than the system we currently have though.
Meh.

Ah, see, I’m not an accelerationist because I am not within the top 10% of the wealth holders in my society, I am in fact disabled and crippled, and thus stand a very, very good chance at dying fairly quickly if the entire national (and to a great extent, world) economy suddenly collapses.
If you think the pain and suffering is bad now… and don’t get me wrong, it is…
Well, multiply it by between 100x to 1000x, thats what a completely uncontrolled or horrendously mismanaged economic collapse will do.
Rampant homeless and famine.
I’d rather uh, not make things even worse, for billions of people, cause tens to hundreds of millions of unnecessary deaths?
Like, you do realize that all the hypercapitalist tech bro accelerationists… they’re the ones that invented, popularized, and push the modern concept of accelerationism, right?
Because they’ll emerge as kings.
And most of us will just die, or become slaves.
