I would kill for an IMAX run of Kubrick films. Favorite director of all time and I’ve never been able to see any of his films in a theater. That first shot from The Shining in IMAX sounds like heaven.

ABCDE@lemmy.world 9 months agoI’d love it if all the Nolan and Scorsese movies returned, oh and the Kubrick ones too. I haven’t seen the Dark Knight in ages and would be more than down for going to see it again.

The BFI IMAX in London just had a Nolan countdown before Oppenheimer released and they played all his movies on 15/70mm IMAX. I saw Tenet, Inception, Interstellar and The Dark Knight Rises there and they were some of the best cinema experiences I’ve ever had.
Hopefully they play them again soon!
