ayyy@sh.itjust.works 12 hours agoGrowing and harvesting and delivering and picking up food use a shitload of fuel, we just subsidize it. Using an image generator uses almost no energy (training it did, but that’s already done). The comparison isn’t even close.

For every calorie of food you ingest, it takes at least 10 calories to get it to you. Transportation, refrigeration, packaging, harvesting, etc., all add up.
Eat locally. Buy locally.
