But it’s not new. It’s a studio that made some great games and is now past its prime. Those same dollars could go towards new indie studios, and maybe some of them will be decent.
I mean, a studio is just who’s working there. If they have newfound freedom, experienced and fresh talent, and strong direction, they can be great again. One of the big problems was that they tied themselves to cryengine, which they then had to completely retrofit. Instead they could just, like, not do that now.
