Additionally, why does age have anything to do with any of these questions? This feels like it was made by someone who doesn’t have much experience with other humans and is unaware of the massive variety of opinions and attitudes among all age groups.

Only one thing: Why should somebody who’s over 60, but otherwise would answer any singe other question with “no”, not be allowed to stay of social media as well?

It’s a direct copy from this graph, with just the logos replaced for federated/semi-federated services: feddit.org/post/13181365
Where Facebook is meant for the over 60 crowd, instead of Friendica, and TwitterX and Threads for the opinionated assholes instead of Mastodon, etc.
There the categories make a bit more sense.

Okay, that explains it. Thanks! 😁

Sorry, you’re going to have to use Friendica, it’s the law.

People above a certain age should begin to avoid all social media and stick with more private forms of communication like email, phone calls, signal messages and f2f discussions. Once your ability to tell fact from fiction deteriorates enough, announcing your opinions publicly becomes increasingly problematic.

Risky comment of the day. Maybe they just don’t like to hear what I have to say. Maybe I could have been a little less blunt about it. Who knows. ¯\(ツ)/¯.

I know well informed people above even their 80st birthday and heard of some conspiracists, who still have to go to school. 🤨

Both extremes exist. Hence, the condition about loosing your grip on reality.
