Dagwood222@lemm.ee 5 weeks agoRead 'The Forever War" by Joe Haldeman. Wormhole / time dilation causes the troops to experience time differnetly from the folks back on Earth. every time they return from a mission, decades or even centuries have passed.

Sounds like hard sci fi… My absolute favourite! I will actually take this recommendation as soon as I’ve finished Every Version of You by Grace Chan (which I also recommend btw)
