Wow, what a short-sighted view. Android, despite its many shortcomings, gives you orders of magnitude more freedom in almost every way imaginable. And none of its shortcomings are blocking you from using it, rather more or less annoy you.

Its not short sighted its from several years of experience.

iOS is also trash vaporware but in a way that’s more usable/less haggle for most people.

Is there any decent way on a normal android device to rsync sending data to the Android device from another system?

  I’ve never tried it, but there appear to be some rsync apps on f-droid, you could try.
