skeezix@lemmy.world 5 days agoGreat idea!!! Just use a good quality natural fibre fan-tip brush. You might as well up your game. For rocks and cliffs and other dark areas you can smear your shit on the canvas. Use a palette knife to work it in small areas. Blow some boogers for tree and foliage texture. Give the final composition an overwash of piss to give it a wholesome warmth.

Shit seems like it would introduce the problems of bacteria and stink though. Boogers similarly I think are intended to trap bacteria and such. Others have worked with piss, which I think is usually sterile but I would be concerned about chemicals in the piss. I don’t think there is anything unhygienic about the menstrual blood that would cause issues.
It might also be interesting to boil used condoms, cut them, and glue them to the surface as well.

A guy in my art school made a piss sculpture. He collected it in jars every day and then arranged them like pixels on a rack. It was neat to see the colour variation, since he deliberately ate things to try to get more hues.
