It’s not really my kind of gameplay but i got it for the visuals alone and the game does look really good. I love the 3D cardboard world artstyle.

Second this. What broke it for me was the amount of absolutely pointless fights while traveling. And you travel a lot, as the name suggests.

I get trying to make an old school, grindy RPG, but it just fell flat.
Grimstone from UFO 50 is the game I point to for how to do a retro RPG well. Hell, all of UFO 50 is fantastic, I home there’s a sequel.
