- Comment on 60% of Teachers Used AI This Year and Saved up to 6 Hours of Work a Week 1 week ago:
Telling people to stop doing something because it burns the planet doesn’t really changes their mind in general unfortunately. Best you can do is put the numbers in their face so that they can’t avoid the truth. But that only works on people who care.

I still don’t have an HDR display. Hopefully some VR headset in the near future will support it.

- Comment on Studio Camelia shuts down a year after raising €300,000 on Kickstarter to fund JRPG (Alzara Radiant Echoes) 4 weeks ago:
I mean when a small team with no budget can make a good demo that sells the idea but then can’t complete the project with years and houdreds of thousands what is going on? I backed like 8 kickstarters and only 3 made it out and 1 is saying they are about to be done after 7 years. Also one of the successful one’s shut down because of not enough post launch monetization. I’m still going to help with stuff i believe in after many failures but just not as enthusiastically.
- Comment on Studio Camelia shuts down a year after raising €300,000 on Kickstarter to fund JRPG (Alzara Radiant Echoes) 4 weeks ago:
The goal with crowdfunding is usually to show publishers that the game has interest and that they should help bring it to life.
- Comment on YouTube relaxes moderation rules to allow more controversial content. Videos are allowed if "freedom of expression value may outweigh harm risk" 4 weeks ago:
I’m gessing that’s not gonna positively impact the people i watch and instead go towards some dumb shits.

- Comment on Audible unveils plans to use AI voices to narrate audiobooks 2 months ago:
I’ve listened to a couple audiobooks where the author did the voice and i liked them. They know how phrases need to sound like better then an AI i would assume.

I’m excited to see how this will pair with android XR to potentially have a good desktop experience on the go. Just have to carry the headset wich i already do and mouse and keyboard for better controls.

- Comment on The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered - Official Trailer 2 months ago:
I’ve seen people get pretty good results but i don’t think i had the right settings so i wasn’t able to make it run. I have a 3090 wich is pretty much the minimum for that XD i also tried to run the game in 8K just to see how it would look with no luck. I ended up playing at 4K medium settings for now. I’ll definitely try again tomorrow with someone’s UEVR injector profile.

- Comment on ChatGPT spends 'tens of millions of dollars' on people saying 'please' and 'thank you', but Sam Altman says it's worth it 2 months ago:
I agree. That’s why i personnally stopped using queries just to thank it but i don’t know what the absolute best practice is when it comes to LLms.
- Comment on ChatGPT spends 'tens of millions of dollars' on people saying 'please' and 'thank you', but Sam Altman says it's worth it 2 months ago:
You are confusing consent with respect. Respect can be being afraid to put your fingers where they might get cut even after using a machine for 30 years. The moment you lose that fear and start doing whatever you want with the machine is when the troubles start. Respect can also be oiling a tool that needs to be for better longevity instead of leaving them full of rust at the bottom of the toolbox.
- Comment on Almost 19% of Japanese people in their 20s have spent so much money on gacha they struggled with covering living expenses, survey reveals - AUTOMATON WEST 2 months ago:
I played a gatcha game with a friend when we didn’t know what gacha was and we where trying to build our teams by just playing the game and there where always massive difficulty walls that couldn’t be passed. So we both ended up spending around $500 CAD on that game and farming with our phones open on the game 24/7. We stopped after we understood how predatory the model was.

Respecting your tools is a pretty fundamental thing to learn. Whatever that respect looks like for one tool or another.

I really miss Megalith. It was a VR MOBA. The small team had to drop the project to work on contracts that made money.
- Comment on Are PC handhelds like Steam Deck really competitors for Switch 2? 3 months ago:
Honestly for me it came down to where i prefer to buy my games. Steam games will follow me for the forseeable future and switch games will not. I gave my coworker my nintendo account too with over $500 of games on it and i was like that’s it. That’s enough sunk cost that i will lose.
- Comment on Are PC handhelds like Steam Deck really competitors for Switch 2? 3 months ago:
I gave away my switch to a coworker because i didn’t really like it to buy a steam deck. So i’d say for me yes they where competitors. I use a lenovo legion go now.
