It’s an odd choice. The animation for the OP is fantastic, but the song is really not to my taste. It is clearly deliberate as aiko has done other anisongs and they have been more typical (she also does the ED for this show).

As I just noted in another response, I immediately heard the OP as an overly earnest and depression-prone robot a century out from human contact letting go, to the best of her ability. I thought it was brilliant.
