**Synopsis: **
The light novels’ story centers on Rin Takanashi, a working adult, around thirty years old, who is into camping and tabletop role-playing games. She was summoned as a saint to another world with a beautiful high school girl, but her “Motor House” (Camper Van) and “Survival” skills were deemed garbage by the prince and she is instantly exiled. Rin discovers that her skills are actually useful in special environments, and she decides to continue her hobbies of solo camping and cooking in the other world. Using her skills to summon her dream camper van, she sets off on her own foodie roadtrip and meet wonderful companions along the way.

Dias builds the area up. There is a bit of political maneuvering happening in the source, but that’s mostly done in some bonus/side chapters. The story around Dias himself is for the most part, just him building up his domain and befriending the different non-human species around him. It’s very wholesome and comfy for 85% of the time. The remainder are some little adventures that happen every now and then (for example, dragon hunting or a bandit attack). Honestly, there is not much “story”, but the series lives with how likable the characters are and how fun it is to watch Illuk Village grow.

In Promised Neverland’s defense, we didn’t know how terrible S2 would be. I was pretty hyped for it since S1 was incredible. BATE on the other hand was just terrible in every aspect. I’m not trying to shit on your taste, if you liked it you liked it. Nothing wrong with that. I enjoy my shitty isekai shows as well. But objectively speaking every single building block that it was made off was sub-par and there are a lot of shows that are more deserving. And I don’t even mean just fan favorites like NGNL. There are a lot of mid tier shows that are objectively better than BATE.

The Gaming and Music industry (as well as early streaming Netflix) has shown that people are willing to forgo piracy and pay a reasonable price for a service if the service is more convenient and, at the very least, of on-par quality with pirated content. and I’m very sorry for Crunchy, but nothing of this is applicable to them.
