Mr_Dr_Oink@lemmy.world 1 week agoIn fact. I dont care if you realise it or not. I dont need your validation. Im in my 30s. I’m nearly 40. i have been gaming since the sega master system. That’s fairly early doors for gaming. I know what i am talking about, i have been alive for long enough and paid for enough games to know what i am talking about.
The fact that you are just going to downvote me and offer absolutely nothing to counter my argument is enough for me to know you are EITHER too young to k ow about any of this, or being purposfully ignorant to jump on the rage wagon.
The fact you automatically think i am schilling for nintendo because my argument passively defends them (its actually an argument defending all game pricing) is just evidence of your immaturity.

Well since you brought it up Ive been gaming longer than you. Raising prices to $80, $90, and $100 is price gouging, thats all it is.

Switch 2 isnt out yet, how can I show you? Nintendo said in direct new Switch 2 games could be $80 for digital and $90 for physical.

So, assuming you can’t find pricing right now would mean that you are speculating entirely and basing your whole argument on that.
But if you actually google it

You will find that this physical game is 80 dollars on preorder at walmart.
A further search will show a number of games available for preorder

And if you scroll through (its just a short way down the article, the most expensive game is 80 dollars and the cheapest is 40 dollars.
Does that change anything about you opinion? Now that i have backed up my argument?
