good that you know better than the people that write psychatric / psychological guidelines for professionals. they actually removed the classification as a mental disorder based on more uptodate research and the current scientific consensus. its sad to see people not only repeating this transphobic talking point but people on Lemmy also upvoting it.
Saying a person, who feels like the opposite sex of what they are, has a mental disorder, is not transphobic. It’s a very simple fact.
It doesn’t mean I think they’re worth less than other people or shouldn’t be allowed to live their life how they want, but it’s obviously a mental disorder, no matter what the experts choose to call it.
Except, the DSM-5, the main authority on this, specifically says it’s not a mental disorder, just like how being gay isn’t a mental disorder anymore since DSM-4.
You can disagree, but that’s just as stupid as disagreeing with fire being hot. It’s just reality-denialism on your part.
It’s not about knowing anything. It’s about logic…
If you’re born a male but don’t feel like you’re a male when you get older, there’s clearly something mentally wrong… I don’t see how you can even question that.

You clearly dont know what you’re talking about. You do not know better than the experts who spent years in studying psychology.

They will never born male in the first place.
Being trans was always there. The person just learned to vocalize it.
