Konstant@lemmy.world 1 week agoYou think it’s good to let someone just talking to themselves without warning. You don’t do that in real life, why would it be ok in the internet? Just let them know you left, don’t waste anyone’s time. Everyone talks about transparency but then are ok with being sneaky little fucks (sry can’t think of better word) when it’s convenient.

I don’t see how it’s the same. In real life I could just walk away and be done with it. Online they can just generate another account and insert themselves right before you.
If people could teleport or create avatars endlessly to try to talk to me in real life I would eventually just wear head phones and pretend to listen to them until they got bored.
