@Alfred Bühler Yes, when you know how. WordPress is even easier, but they still benefit from being a "one-click" option in cpanel and other common site admin tools.

Installing Hubzilla is so simple that I doubt that it's worth the effort.
Perhaps making some sort of cpanel-integration would be a good investment.

@Alfred Bühler I am running Hubzilla with a Cpanel backend on a shared host. ItÄs helpful, but expensive. A more simple thing allowing for cron jobs, database operations, email & domain operations is definately making things easier for the non SSH-affine...chris@im.allmendenetz.de 2 days ago

I saw one far in the past; unfortunately, I don't remember its name.
You're right about the expensive licenses. But if we write a plugin for some of the admin desk programs, we still need acceptance for installation by the hosters. Here I see some dark clouds.
- @*_jߍyrope I don't know cPanel in detail, but I think you can do many of the usual admin tasks there. So nothing against that.
- @Alfred Bühler from your stamens we can learn that you have little imagination about the situation of other people when the have to deal with installing website systems
