You mean $85b of lost revenue for the innocent and much beloved oil companies, car parking companies and toll companies. Get back to the office, plebs!
For real though when the WFH started it was so great to see a lot more local businesses too beyond just people saving time and money (which is also a huge positive of course). My local cafes and restaurants did really well.

This is what shits me about politicians and business leaders calling for RTO on the basis that CBD businesses are suffering. Yeah? That’s sad, but it’s life. Other businesses are benefitting. Why should the CBD ones be artificially propped up when what people want is to work from home where they can support local suburban cafes and restaurants.
