Yes. On the plus side, the website works well on mobile.

There’s no API yet. Openreads is contemplating adding support.

I’d just like to take the blame for two separate Imaginary posts here in a row. I posted not realising this would be posted a matter of hours later!

Probably a better word! I’m not sure where I was going with that.

- Comment on Yes, rebuild the Crooked House brick by brick – and buttress local planning, too 10 months ago:
Pretty obvious that was the case, but good to have it confirmed.
100% they didn’t want it there, but it had to look like an accident.
- Comment on Crooked House rebuild would be ‘very complicated and costly endeavour’ 10 months ago:
“Very complicated and costly endeavour”. Make them do it. They need to be taught that “ooh, it seems to have caught fire after some dirt heaps appear to have fallen onto the access road” and “oh dear, the contractor got confused and knocked the whole thing down instead of just the unsafe bit”, are not acceptable practices. They’ll have to spend a large amount of time and money and will end up with still have a building on their land that they don’t want there. Do it.
- Comment on Is charging electric car at holiday house "theft"? 10 months ago:
Chargers at hotels are usually regular public ones, so you pay the regular public charging cost.
For a holiday home, if it has a charger it’s probably just added onto the cost.

Pretty sure I’ve had “click all bicycles”, with a bicycle drawing on the road.
- Comment on Crooked House: Fire at 'wonkiest' pub treated as arson - police 10 months ago:
I didn’t realise it had been bulldozed. That’s incredibly suspicious! They should be made to rebuild it - I think the West Midlands mayor suggested this too!

Talking of MUDs reminded me that some years back I discovered Shades (used to be on Micronet/Prestel in the 1980s) was still running. It took me quite a bit of searching to find a random comment, which said Shades is still running (a few years ago) on telnet://games.world.co.uk I just tried it and it’s still there!

My dad commented that One Man And His Droid was supposed to be good, when we were in a shop (Woolworths?) looking at games. Mid-late 1980s. I finally played it a couple of years ago.

The bot generally works OK (the problems are more the Pi it runs on has a somewhat flaky wifi connection so sometimes it posts stuff it shouldn't post, or vice versa, than anything to do with Lemmy)
The Bedfordshire one is something I knocked up to get some content flowing. The sources aren't the best (lack of RSS feeds on websites these days) but, yes, it posts everything - every day is a slow news day in Beds 😄
