According to the below two articles. It’s 1-5 meters in optimal conditions. And some of it may require additional hardware for tracking.
- Comment on YouTube is Losing The War Against Adblockers 2 months ago:
That was almost a decade ago or even before. I remember adockers recommending white listing search engines or recommending to disable non-instrusive ads to support websites.
- Comment on YouTube is Losing The War Against Adblockers 2 months ago:
Your whole existence revolves around peddling ads before people can watch the ads they want.
Ah, what. Who wants or likes to watch ads at all?

I did try bangle.js gadgetbridge from play store and it showed the fit 3 as incompatible.

Depends. If you use heavily customized android ROMs with aggressive battery saving measures like colorOS, hyperOS/miui, etc. Things may be a tad rough.

Considering, the mobile browser also has addons and will gain hundreds more in a few months. It’s a no-brainer.
- Comment on Google Play System updates vs OEM security updates 1 year ago:
Relatively speaking, as long as it’s on the latest version of android(android 13, 14 and maybe even 12), alongside the latest security patch. It should be fine. After that date, depending on what security issues pop up, it would be best to get a new device if required.
If you are worried and have reasons that make you believe it could be bad, consider saving up for an upgrade and combine trade-in offers to do so later.
- Comment on Health Connect: Transfer data / Backup and restore 1 year ago:
Considering, they ship software where you lose data and need to factory reset due to faulty updates (android 14 storage issue). It can be worse.
- Comment on Health Connect: Transfer data / Backup and restore 1 year ago:
Health connect is still in beta it will be a while before they introduce that feature. You can let others apps like samsung Health and sleep for android backup the required data and use it to restore. Make sure to test well if it actually works to avoid data loss.
- Comment on Recommend me some Android games 1 year ago:
If you tried vampire survivors, you can try magic survival. It’s the original bullet hell roguelike, which inspired other genre defining games.
There’s 9th dawn rpg 3, which is a good indepth roguelike rpg game. Talking about roguelikes, let’s not forget Pocket Rogues. Then there’s grimvalor 3rd rpg hack and slash platformer.
You also have Titan Quest (legendary with all DLCs unlocked or regular version with in-app purchases) on mobile.
I also enjoy Undead Horde and Tesla vs lovecraft
Some people mentioned dead cells. Which reminds me that there’s a functional port of hollow knight for android. Just search reddit with Google.

Don’t turn off adaptive battery. It’s there to optimize battery usage.
- Comment on At what percentage battery health should I consider replacing it? 1 year ago:
6 hours still sounds fine. Wait a bit longer for it to deteriorate and replace. Probably, at something like 50 or 60% of battery health.

No, they removed the option. I too was pissed. I hate Google for this reason alone.
- Comment on So what is Shizuku? 1 year ago:
It’s not unsafe. You have a version on playstore. Basically, it allows you to use privileged APIs which would need manually using ADB or root. Some of my apps like Darq, droid-ify, takostats, and lemmy-redirect use it perform actions like enabling link handling, performing app installation, applying force dark mode without requiring root, etc.
Here’s the description pulled from fdroid:
using system APIs directly with adb/root privileges from normal apps
When developing apps that requires root, the most common method is to run some commands in the su shell. For example, there is app uses pm enable/disable command to enable/disable components. This method has very big disadvantages:
• Extremely slow (Multiple process creation)
• Needs to process texts (Super unreliable)
• The possibility is limited to available commands
• Even if adb has sufficient permissions, the app requires root privileges to run
Shizuku uses a completely different way. The most important feature Shizuku provides is something like be a middle man to receive requests from the app, sent to the system server, and send back the results. To the app, it is almost identical to the use system APIs directly. But it’s much faster as it hooks into the system directly.

- Comment on How to remove google bar 1 year ago:
If you re-add, google search go. Can you customize it? Or have you tried a 3rd party search app like pixel search and set it as assistant and see if that makes a difference? You can always try a 3rd party launcher. Apart from that, i don’t see more solutions.
- Comment on "Bluetooth keeps stopping" loop 1 year ago:
You mentioned running Crdroid. Did this issue occur in the stock rom? Contact/report the issue to people maintaining the rom for your device. Low-level stuff can only be fixed by those.
