Pinch Mini and Punch Bug. 2 for old school, one for new.
Neighbours injected “Spotto”, a punch for a yellow car.
And that was it. No rules about arguing or how hard you hit, no holds barred in the back seat.

It’s not fixed unfortunately. We are on 0.19.1 and having issues.
The fix is to regularly restart which clears the federation queue.

Nothing is stopping you. Getting it done is the hard part.
Good luck.

It’s too late now but it could have been interesting to have tried something different than doing exactly what reddit evolved into. Evolution being a long process.
Once I saw environment issues only being posted into cities, I knew it was too fragmented. The lack of crossposting on the apps, or posting to multiple at once, probably doesn’t help. And then your feed gets multiple repeats.
Just can’t see a way around it.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a strong proponent of splitting general and politics.
I didn’t like the Australia subreddit because of is 90% politics. I guess we could say splitting them “didn’t work on reddit” because the culture was so ingrained and that’s just the way it was.
It was/is worth trying something new here.

6 months ago some of us asked not to split everything into multiple communities. I even thought c/cities should have been c/states initially to be more inclusive.
Unfortunately, the majority tried to recreate reddit and then abandoned most of it.

- Comment on Swathes of Earth are turning into desert — but the degradation can be stopped 11 months ago:
The UNCCD conference in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, highlighted the urgent need to address land degradation, which affects 18.9% of the world’s land, up from 14.7% in 2015. The analysis showed that countries like Mexico, India, and many in Africa have seen significant increases in degraded land. However, there are signs of hope, as some countries like Ecuador, Botswana, and Burkina Faso have made progress in restoring degraded land. The successes were mainly due to tree restoration and soil fertility improvements. Despite the grim outlook, the conference emphasized the need for more data and international funding to address land degradation, which currently receives less funding than climate change and biodiversity initiatives.
Just in case people were wondering.

As their specialised knowledge reaches the edge of the circle, their general knowledge updating should retract.
Everyone has met a PhD that is almost entirely clueless in other areas. Not their fault though, don’t get me wrong.
- Comment on Planting a palm tree - Which soil should I use ? 11 months ago:
If it’s going to be in the same pot for a long time, I would make an inorganic mix to prevent compaction and rotting of the materials (usually pine bark is the culprit).
Something like 50% horticultural sand, 25% aeration (pumice or perlite - perlite if it’s a small pot, pumice if it’s a big pot), 25% water holding (sphagnum, coir). Then you can either mix in a long lasting chem fertiliser, or use water-based frequently, or top dress with organics when required.

A Pixel (with long security updates) because GrapheneOS is the operating system to use.
It’s limiting but that’s the way it is.

- Comment on Why is the default setting for the startpage's feed "Local" and not "All" 1 year ago:
Yep, I’m where I am, subscribed to zero communities but I can check out what’s happening nationally using Local. If the instance got massive, that would change but it’s fine as it is.
I guess the science instances, the art instances, the solarpunk instance, or even porn instances etc use Local heavily.

When I was couriering, riding on the footpath was legal.
No one believed it. I had made cards of the 2 relevant road rules for handing out purposes but usually it was just an argument.
