Thank you. I thought it was a NAS device. I was wondering what the hype was about.
- Comment on The moon 1 week ago:
Had similar many years ago. Was about 3am on a country road. Thought there was a cyclist. Why the fuck is there a cyclist in the middle of no where at this time of night. Slowed way down to a crawl as I as approached. It was a red reflector on a post outside a farm house.

He’s probably happy to accept the sentence and get all this shoved behind him. I bet if the police had looked deeper at other online activities and his pc his term would be much longer.

Are you lonely? Do you want a solution for loneliness? The answer is here. Join a neo-nazi online chatroom posing as a 16 year old boy. It makes sense, perfectly reasonable and not suspicious in any way what so ever.

I wish somebody did shove that old cunt into that suit like somebody trying to stuff a sleeping bag into the carry bag it can’t in. the trauma would be unreal.

They provided some insight to why they think MS didn’t comment. Then agreed with you. I don’t think they were defending MS.
- Comment on It's interesting that we have multiple appliances in the kitchen who's sole job is to turn electricity into heat. 1 month ago:
I don’t think I explained very well. It has two tanks. Storage water tank and a boiling tank which is under the storage tank. It draws water into the boiling tank which is 1 cup size. Once it’s hot it shoots the water out of the spout into the cup. Water from the storage tank fills the boiling tank.
- Comment on It's interesting that we have multiple appliances in the kitchen who's sole job is to turn electricity into heat. 1 month ago:
Not as fancy as heat pumps but our kettle boils one cup at a time and the boiling chamber is under the water tank. Some of the wasted energy goes to warm up the water in the tank meaning less energy is needed for the next cup. It’s probably not that efficient but it’s better than nothing.
- Comment on Big Brother just got an upgrade. Starting December, Amazon’s Ring cameras will scan and recognize faces. Don’t want to be in their database? Too bad — walk past a Ring and your face can be stored... 1 month ago:
Same as non-legal ebikes perhaps? Where I live the police don’t seem to care unless the rider happens to be a drug dealer or otherwise wanted by the police.
I’d take a guess that while a ring doorbell might be illegal and not enforced, it probably means the recorded footage might be not accepted in court if ever needed… Perhaps (I’m not a lawyer or even closed SE to an expert). Unless a doorbell inspector becomes a thing then it probably just slides.
- Comment on 3 Outdoor broadband hub UK 1 month ago:
I didn’t know they did an outdoor hub. I’ve been using a Three 5G broadband hub for a few years. I bought my own Pointing external antenna and connected it to the hub. It works well. The antenna boosts the signal significantly (I forget how much exactly).
The issue I have isn’t the hub or antenna, it’s Three themselves. Quite often the 5G gets slow, as in unusably slow. The signal is strong so I assume it’s an issue with their masta or over subscribed. It doesn’t happen as much these days though.
Because I was unsure when I first wanted one I opted for a monthly contract and not a year. It allowed me to test how well it works before cancelling my existing broadband.

- Comment on Britain’s illegal e-bike boom: desperation, delivery drivers – and unthinkable danger 2 months ago:
I totally agree. I have a legal ebike and make sure I’m safe and within the law. I don’t want to risk my driving license, or injuring anybody.
Ebikes are generally a lot heavier than a normal push bikes. The stopping distance is terrible especially down a hill. If I were to go at high speeds on it then it would be very dangerous. I should think top-end ebike have good brakes but most of the cheaper one, such as mine, do not. I am keen on upgrading the brakes though.
- Comment on Britain’s illegal e-bike boom: desperation, delivery drivers – and unthinkable danger 2 months ago:
They can throw the book at these illegal ebike riders. Unregistered moped, no insurance, no MOT, dangerous vehicle (by means of no MOT to prove otherwise).

- Comment on UK cyber vigilantes generating mock IDs of local MPs to protest Online Safety Act 3 months ago:
It can be used by AI age verification tools on a bunch of websites. So yes I guess that is fraud. But these tools claim not to store the data in the verification process. If somebody could prove a made up ID was used then I suspect they’re in bigger shit for a GDPR leak.

It’s not just remote work. All our manufacturing sites use to VPN connections data centres. It would cripple manufacturing on an epic scale if they were instabanned.

If they ban VPN’s that’s going to hit corporations harder than the average person.

Reed admitted that at a police station, in front of colleagues, he had pulled down the officer’s trouser zip, inserted his hand and touched his penis before shouting ‘it’s a small one’.
Later says it was just banter!!
I wonder what the situation was. If someone touches my zip I would instantly pull backwards.
