I’m honestly shocked that don’t leverage that idea more where the terrain changes (unless they do later again in the series).
I started from Trails in the Sky FC two years ago and I actually regret not playing this series sooner. What’s funny is I got FC as part of a bundle ages ago but never got around to playing it. I probably won’t play the new remake until I finally catch up on all the games hahaha.

Just started Trails of Cold Steel 2 after beating Octopath Traveler 2. It’s nice to come back to a JRPG where unit position matters. One of my favorite battle systems!
- Comment on Do you use your blinker in a car? 4 weeks ago:
I use my blinker even when turning into my own driveway and the reason is simple:
The signal isn’t for me. It’s for others to know my intentions.
One major thing that makes driving with others safer is predictability and your blinkers can help with that.

Can you suggest movie you like in this subgenre?
- Comment on Why does it seem like many Americans have an arrogant personality trait? 2 months ago:
American here. If I was at a mall here in the US and heard this kind of bragging I’d roll my eyes, too.
I was once trying to buy some snacks at a market and a person’s card was declined so they started bragging about how much money they had in the bank and that the store was wrong. Everyone just sighed and groaned around her.
- Comment on Tech jobs are now white collar trades that need apprentices 2 months ago:
I’m currently working with a team of a few seniors and the rest mid-levels. I’ve helped get a few juniors hired but they’ve buckled under the pressure after 6 months.
They studied development at school and did great with their classwork but perhaps they thought they knew a lot and ended up realizing that they barely scratched the surface.
Though not required to learn deeper aspects of development, having a team, partner or mentor goes a heck of a long way. It’s like learning the piano. You can hit all the right notes but it doesn’t mean you have musicality.
- Comment on How important is flirting within the dating scene? 2 months ago:
When I went on the first few dates with my now-wife, I did not flirt with her as in try to tease her or do anything overtly sexual.
I honestly think I won her over because how enthusiastic I was about telling stories. She said I was so charming because of how passionate and animated I was while telling her about myself that she could see how confident and content I was.
Prior to meeting her at 35, I had never had a girlfriend and had only ever gone on 2 dates.

At first I thought it was dumb but then I took the plunge.
- Comment on What is a metaphor you like in your language? 3 months ago:
In Khmer, there’s a phrase “មិនដឹងខ្យល់” which literally translates to “Doesn’t know wind” as in they’re so dumb they don’t even know what wind is.
I guess it’s kind of like calling someone an air head but from a different angle.
