With that baby around, I think it’s you who needs to worry about surviving a 20-story fall.

My kinda person. If they were local and I saw the post, I’d be there for sure.
- Comment on Which one are you? 8 months ago:
Abandoning my DeWalt family heritage in favor of Mikwaukee was almost like leaving Jehovah’s Witnesses. I’m allowed back to visit, but it’s tense.

When I’m really stressed out, I’ll put on repetitive beep boop music and draw floor plans on graph paper.

There are local prefixes I will never answer no matter what. I’m looking at you, 243 and 422.

Every now and then, there’s an article about some dumb shit a person on The View says. My reaction is always surprise that The View is still even a thing.
- Comment on A scandal about Bill Gates would be called Bill Gates-gate. 10 months ago:
I was kinda hoping that in the current era, political scandals would get a new suffix. Watergate happened 50 years ago, so popular first-hand memory of it is waning.
There was a moment when I thought we could transition to [scandal]-a-lago, but it never happened.

I’d probably still be at the emerald grove if they hadn’t limited the number of Scratch’s pets per interaction.

I have to make several extra every time because my wife likes to spread a portion of the filling on toast.

I’m the deviled egg family member!
Always plan on 3 full eggs for each anticipated guest, then add another half dozen. Most people will only have 1 or 2 halves, but there’s always a couple people who will go through like 10.

I hated every moment of school. It was miserable from start to finish, and I wouldn’t go back if you paid me. I wish I would have thought to drop out at 16 and get my GED.

Millennials are still struggling. It’s just that this article wasn’t about us.
- Comment on Gen Z is cooking more and shopping less as they struggle to achieve financial success 1 year ago:
I think it still has meaning. Just not the same meaning it had 10ish years ago. “Boomer” has transcended description of a particular generation and now refers to a general set of real or perceived attitudes and behaviors.
- Comment on Car wash: touchless or soft touch? 1 year ago:
I do touchless, and I don’t bother with anything beyond the basic wash option. That tricolor foam stuff looks fun while you’re in there, but idk how much good it actually does.
I don’t care about my car looking shiny and clean, but I’ve driven hail cars exclusively for the last 15ish years. I try keeping them rinsed off at all times to avoid anything gnarly festering in paint cracks or whatever. Every third or fourth fill-up, I’ll run the car through the cheap $8-10 touchless wash, even (especially) during Minnesota winters.
I think hand-washing is the only way to go if we want our cars clean looking, but who am I trying to impress, you know?

And the third rule is: signal for at least two blinker flashes before changing lanes or braking so the people around you can respond accordingly.

- Comment on But my WiFi is just fine! 1 year ago:
We ran snakey boys throughout the house using command hooks on the ceiling when my wife and I had to go WFH 3 years ago.
The temporary fix is still going strong. At this point, the place would look weird without hastily strung up CAT5 all over the place.

My biggest hope for Oppenheimer is that it makes high waisted men’s dress pants broadly fashionable for a while.
