Fallout. The one that comes to mind is the Fallout 4 menu music, but I’ve gotten that feeling with nearly all their games.

Legit though. I got my finger slammed in the car door but luckily it didn’t lock like that. I could see bone. Even theoretical, thinking about the door locking makes me panic a bit.

‘Cute’ is just a positive word saying the outfit’s nice. ‘Sexy’ is the pregnancy of the fashion world. Don’t tell someone they look sexy unless you’re really sure and maybe not even then. Not all women who are sexy are trying to look sexy, and ‘sexy’ means different things to different people.

- Comment on Would you prefer if games had a separate difficulty setting for boss fights? 1 year ago:
Control for me! It was mind blowing for me. Not a difficult game but it really improved my ability to enjoy the game at some points.

If it’s pvp then sure it’s cheating but why would it be cheating for a single player game? Is the point not to have fun?
- Comment on Would you prefer if games had a separate difficulty setting for boss fights? 1 year ago:
I’ve come to firmly believe that all games should have an invulnerability setting for the sake of accessibility. It’s probably one of the easier settings to implement for most games and it would have the most impact for the wide range of accessibility needs out there.
- Comment on How to deal with annoying co-worker 1 year ago:
Don’t tell him he’s annoying. Call him out when something’s not appropriate for the workplace (like the fart jokes) but don’t make it about his personality.
Consult HR on how to go about the quirks that aren’t inappropriate but still very annoying. They can give you the language toolbox you need.

Is your condition stable, slowly worsening, or critical?
Before you do anything, talk to your doctor. They might be able to recommend a specialist in-state or closer than NY. They may even be able to work with a doctor in another hospital. If you want to go to NY, talk to the hospital directly (not through your cousin) and buy the ticket as close as possible. Unless your condition is severe and worsening, they may not be able to take you in immediately. Look at the hospital online and see if they have telemedicine services. You might be able to make an appointment through that.
Lastly, for the incoming medical bills my advice is this:
- See if you qualify for financial aid through the hospital.
- Get an itemized bill and ask if there’s anything that can be reduced.
- Get the lowest payment plan that you can. Never miss a payment. After some time you might be able to pay it off a reduced bill or it may even be forgiven.
- Comment on How do you exit a dream? 1 year ago:
One technique to become lucid in dreams is to look at your hands (in the dream). Hands usually look a bit off - think AI hands. Then you can do whatever you want. In theory if you make it a habit to look at your hands during the day, you’ll do it while dreaming too.
- Comment on how do i pick out a good avocado 1 year ago:
Two things your restaurant might be doing that you don’t at home:
- Spritzing a little lemon on the avocado to keep it looking fresh.
- Salt.
Maybe these will make a difference for you.

Maybe watering wicks or a blumat-type setup? Then you could put a water jar lower and just refill that.
- Comment on Problem with my pet cornsnake 1 year ago:
I don’t really know snakes, but from reading online it might be an injury to the ligaments. Maybe something small like bruising or needing adjustment like this post, maybe worse and needing the vet. Call your vet and ask what to look for. My very inexperienced opinion is if the snake has been like that for days and doesn’t eat when they normally would, it needs a vet appointment. If your snake is moving its jaw at all (yawning, adjusting, etc) then that’s probably a good sign that it’s not serious damage but it still should go in if it’s not eating.

This explains why I didn’t get it. I thought Community was ok but never understood why it was so popular. To be honest, I didn’t think it was funny. Guess I just don’t get pop culture references. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- Comment on How can I practice being more emotionally available as a man? 1 year ago:
I can’t speak for everyone, but asking myself “why” has helped me introspect. If I have a bad reaction to something or don’t when I should, I ask myself why. After a couple rounds of “why” it usually comes down to childhood experiences or social expectations. At least for me. Eventually it gets easier and being able to figure out the source helps figuring out how to take positive steps to correct it.

Fantastic, glad you figured it out. Thanks for updating us!
- Comment on Why is my printer ticking? 1 year ago:
Basic trouble shooting cause this is weird and I have no idea:
-
If you disconnect the Ethernet, does it still tick?
-
Does restarting the printer help?
-
Can you turn the printers wi-fi off?
My wildest guesses are it could be trying to print off a test page, receiving a signal to print but no info, or maybe it’s switching between checking WiFi and Ethernet.

- Comment on I May Have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, What Specialty Doctor Should I Consult With? 1 year ago:
I think that’d be a orthopedic physician. If you have insurance then you may need to see your primary care physician first and get a referral so the insurance will cover it.
- Comment on How do I tame my frustration toward my aging parents? 1 year ago:
Get help when you can, remember to fill your cup before others, and try to make peace with the fact that you will have very little control over their older years.
I was a caretaker to my grandmother for a while and now am approaching a similar stage with my mother. This is pretty cynical, but at a certain point everything’s a downward slope. Sometimes gentle, sometimes steep, and punctuated by good days but the overall course doesn’t change. Accepting how little control I have and acknowledging the downward slope has helped in some ways. It’s an absolutely brutal journey, but it’s like a rip current. You can fight and swim against it, or you can swim parallel to shore. You might end up further out in the end but you’ll at least have the energy to make it back.
- Comment on what are these floating on the surface 1 year ago:
Yup, completely normal. I have hard water and my kettles get calcium buildup after a handful of uses. Soak with white vinegar to remove the buildup. Or if you’re like me and forget until last second, boil 50/50 vinegar/water and deal with the vinegar smell, lol.

It could be a kind of hygrophorus speciosus. The wiki says US but the entry for hygrophorus includes UK.
Goes without saying, but probably don’t eat it, especially not off internet identification.
