And in my library I actually know what version I have not some 2018 “remix”.
Same with my movie library. I can have theatrical and directors or unrated extended version.

During the Civil Rights movement, it wasn’t until TV started showing live the treatment from Bull Connor in Birmingham against African Americans that the mood of the nation started to change to be in favor of Civil Rights.
So yeah, more people need to see people being abducted harshly every damn day until this country finally says enough.

- Comment on AI experts return from China stunned: The U.S. grid is so weak, the race may already be over 2 weeks ago:
It just seems to me that we should require data centers to pay for new capacity on the grid using 100% renewable energy.
That would keep regular citizens for having to pay for the grid expansion, would help clean up the grid and move it forward, and all that investment in wind and solar would help bring the cost of renewables down. It would be a win for everyone.

For some. But Alabama power has raised rates AGAIN to build another 2 gas plants because of data centers. My power bill has increased by 50% in the last 6 years.
- Comment on We Should Immediately Nationalize SpaceX and Starlink 2 months ago:
Not just funding cuts, but it was heavily politicized and had its direction changed every 4 years. You can’t plan long term like that. It needs to be a government agency but not at the whim of the president or congress.
- Comment on ChatGPT spends 'tens of millions of dollars' on people saying 'please' and 'thank you', but Sam Altman says it's worth it 4 months ago:
I am happy to hear that people say please and thank you. When Siri/Alexa came out, we taught the kids to always say please and thank you when addressing them. If you can be polite to an AI, then you can be polite to a human.
- Comment on New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.10.7 4 months ago:
I expect in a patch release that nothing has changed and I can blindly update getting minor bug fixes and security fixes. In a minor release I expect to review the changes for configuration changes or any minor UI changes. For a major release I expect to read docs on how to upgrade and prepare backups and downtime.
- Comment on How do the Republicans feel about Project 2025 now? 5 months ago:
It would be one thing if we were debating different ways to solve health care, education, incarceration, mental health, homelessness, wealth inequality, or something else.
While I personally think the right is wrong in their solutions I’d be happy to debate them.
But the right isn’t talking about these issues or solutions for them. You can’t have a debate when you’re talking about two completely different things.

Is this a common map projection for Canadian maps? I’m so used to the Mercator Projection this just naturally felt “off” to me.
- Comment on Need for Speed: what is the best title of the series? 9 months ago:
Underground 1 (and burnout 3) both for ps2 are the racing games I always fall back to.
I really, really dislike open worlds, stories, pointless customization, and any sort of online play.
I want fast moving, hard to see, dodging traffic racing, with lots of crashing (or close calls).
