@kimlockhartga @bookstodon Anxietyland was a fedi recommendation I've seen multiple people post about, so I'm excited for that one.
This is my second Mercedes Lackey book (of the 37 I bought on a whim as a Humble Bundle). So far it feels like the early books of Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern series. Apparently she and McCaffrey cowrote a science fiction book, The Ship Who Searched, which I have just added to my TBR.
