Awesome. Definitely logical and not at all intended to enhance suffering.
Other articles that Israel has denied include “dates, sleeping bags, medicines to treat cancer, water purification tablets and maternity kits”, according to the report. Dates could be a lifeline to a starving a population, but they were blocked from entering Gaza because, sources told CNN, the seeds made dates look suspicious in X-ray inspection images. Sleeping bags were denied “because they were the color green”, a humanitarian official told CNN, “and green means military and according to the 2008 list, military is dual use”. What began as a deliberate policy to bring Gaza’s economy grinding to a standstill is now being used to bring its civilian population to its knees.

I was curious so I removed all the text of this image and asked ChatGPT 4o to tell me as much about the image as it could.
The image depicts a man giving mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to a small animal, likely a dog. This is a procedure used to provide emergency breathing support to animals that are not breathing on their own. The man is holding the dog’s mouth open and blowing air into its lungs. Another person is supporting the dog’s body. This technique is part of animal first aid and can be critical in life-saving situations.

I love those pictures up top. Especially the one with the dude waking and the lizard gently holding him at the waist while he does.
Why is feeding on our negative emotions bad? I certainly don’t want them.

There’s tons of study on both alcohol and adrenaline’s effects on the body. As far as a study about sobering up because of adrenaline, a quick search didn’t yield any. Probably because of ethics concerns I’d imagine. But judging by the votes, a number of people have experienced this first hand.

Adrenaline is a drug and in my experience when it kicks in, the impairment from other drugs abates pretty quick.

Implying that those who disagree with you are subhuman is right out of the fascism playbook and it’s definitely not being respectful of others. You can hold that opinion and you can even broadcast it widely on the internet. The rules in this community says to be respectful of others and that by it’s very definition is not. I’m not interested in arguing further, and I’m definitely not interesting in talking geopolitics with you. I want you to be respectful of others and if you can’t, I’ll remove the content and ban you from the community. If others are not being respectful, report them and I’ll review that too.

I don’t care about the content of what you are talking about. The community rules say to be respectful of others. And you aren’t. I asked you to stop but you want to argue.

- Comment on Why does my printer suck so much? 3 months ago:
Ender 3 pro owner here. I definitely need to level more than this person, but not even every print. I’ll go months printing nothing and when I fire it up, I get excellent adhesion right off the bat, no issues. Also never touched the z-offset, only fix it with manual leveling (no auto leveler)

I was hedging against a particularly snarky commenter showing up. You can do a 51% attack and theoretically corrupt it. In practice, that’s much more difficult.
- Comment on Please Stop 3 months ago:
Trustless systems aren’t a bad thing that has to step in when the good thing fails. Trustless systems are inherently better because you don’t have to trust a bank (or anyone for that matter).
Additionally, ledgers can be gamed/corrupted/falsified. This is significantly more complex (bordering on impossible) on the blockchain.

You’re right. They care about our privacy and would never do anything to sully that trust. Certainly not through a partnership with an electronics manufacturer that pays them to do it…

They basically did the same thing several decades ago with Kindles and whispernet. It’s not really that crazy.
