Unfortunately 20 year olds don’t tend to think like this. In my personal experience, if you aren’t conventionally attractive a lot of young people tend to be rude and/or cruel to you.

I deleted my account before RIF died, as the writing was on the wall. I check Reddit accountless if there is a big news story, but tend to avoid it otherwise.
Honestly I miss (the old) reddit sometimes, but Lemmy has been really enjoyable. My reddit account was getting old anyways, I’d already seen all the content that was reposted every year or so and was just getting annoyed. I absolutely do not miss the aggression of every reddit thread, I feel like we are generally all on the same team here.
I guess that is kind of the downside of Lemmy too - if you’re not a very specific type of person, it probably won’t appeal to you. And I guess that can sort of result in an echo chamber, although it seems instead of arguing about the left and the right, we argue about the far left and the farther left.

I know for a fact whoever developed the GoG launcher isn’t capable of adding this in.
Source: half of the connectors to other game services don’t work, and they haven’t bothered to make their Mac app function in literally years (and if asked about this they tell you to “use the website”).

My experience editing Wikipedia:
- Made a small change
- saved it
- immediately realized I had fucked something up
- frantically figured out how to delete my edit
- never edit Wikipedia again
I’d rate the experience a solid 5/10

- Comment on Google might replace the ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’ button with AI Mode 1 month ago:
Fun anecdote - yesterday my new phone overheard me say something about rescheduling a vacation day. It then proceeded to add a “Vacation” booking on a completely random day.
Naturally I asked it what the fuck it was doing, and demanded it remove its permissions to edit my calendar. It quickly apologized, then assured me it had removed its capability to edit my calendar. I told it to not lie to my fucking face, realizing it could not in fact update its own permissions. It apologized again, presumably for being a pathological liar / asshole.
Then I disabled Gemini on my phone, and won’t be using it again. Thanks google!
