At this point it’s just fascinating to see how many keep buying Bethesdas crap.

- Comment on No One Wants A $100 GTA 6, Analysts Say 1 week ago:
I think we can differentiate between fashion and video games.
I have no doubt GTA will sell well enough regardless of price and quality. But if it’s a $100 and the quality isn’t there, I doubt it will sell as well as they’d hope.
But we’ll see.

It’s a bit weird. Not bad, just weird. In the beginning I thought it captured the feel some of the original games pretty well, but then it goes completely off it’s hinges and catapults itself in some gory anime-esque direction. I didn’t get that part.
It’s also a bit heavy-handed with the “fighting your inner demons” and “your own worst enemy is you” shtick.
But it’s very well made. Both the stylistic choice and the combat (if a bit too much in focus). The story circles around marriage and friendships and gets a bit repetitive.
But that’s just my take.

See, I was told that too, but no one bothered to explain what that means. I still have no idea what that actually means. What is a powerhouse?

Oh yes, The Outer Worlds is being thrown under the bus for a second time.
First ToW1 when Private Division decided to take the Timed Exclusivity deal last minute, and now ToW2 being the first game to launch with the $80 price-tag.
Tim and Leonard just can’t catch a break on this one.

Saw this and out of morbid curiosity had to look up the concurrent playercount on SteamDB… yikes.
- Comment on How to install Battle.net on Linux, SteamOS and Steam Deck for World of Warcraft and Starcraft 3 months ago:
Just running the launcher through Steam worked after all else failed. I used to run it through Lutris, but something prevented me from doing it again after upgrading my OS.
I’d honestly kick Blizzard and their games to the curve, but alas, there’s 2 games my little friend group defaults to and refuses to move on from. So I’m stuck with it if I want to play with them.

It’s a different Engine for starters. I don’t know if it’s as easy as just moving assets over from one game to the other.

Used to Dual-Boot Linux and Windows. I honestly can’t be bothered anymore.
If something doesn’t work in Linux, I’m just not using it.

- Comment on Bethesda are so chill about Skyblivion that they're promoting it in Oblivion Remastered videos 5 months ago:
Bethesda is dependent on modders. They not only fix Beth’s games, they also ensure a certain amount of longevity and relevance.
It’s free labor that only benefits the company. And Beth really wants more big modders to join their Creation Club which means monetizing the free labor.
I can’t assign ‘benevolence’ to the machinations of a company their size when ‘smart business’ fits the bill equally well.

I’d rather have them talk a bit about what direction they are going with it.
Because between Fallout 76 and Starfield there’s definitely room for some alternative thinking.
- Comment on Bethesda confirms Oblivion remaster’s imminent reveal 5 months ago:
Bethesda had already started going downhill with Oblivion. But it still held some of the intrigue that made Morrowind and Daggerfall special.
